Elderberry immune booster medicinal tea

Ingredients

  • 3 1/2 cups water
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 inch piece fresh ginger root
  • 2/3 cup dried elderberries
  • 1 cup raw honey
  • 1 cup brandy (optional)

Instructions

  • Prepare your ingredients
    Ingredients for elderberry medicinal tea: dried elderberries, honey, cinnamon stick and few slices of ginger
  • Put water in a large saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to a simmer. Add the cinnamon stick, peeled and sliced ginger root, elderberries. Brew for 30 minutes.

  • Strain and add honey, stir until melted (if you want to keep the elixir for several months add brandy, it helps to preserve it). Allow to cool. Refrigerate for several weeks.
